Originally Hidaka-sensei was going to be number five on my list, but with all the recently scanlated chapters of Yuuutsu na Asa and Hana wa Saku ka, she’s switching places with Ogura Muku—sorry, Ogura-sensei…I still love you and your sexy bishies!
After delving deeper into YnA and HanaSaku, I’ve realized that Hidaka-sensei’s works are more than just some pretty boys touching each other—they’re deliciously slow romances that fully explore the characters’ personalities and the interactions amongst them.
Frankly, I don’t understand many of the finer details in YnA, and it took two readings of HanaSaku to realize how well-developed and well-written it is. Nonetheless, Hidaka-sensei always has me in full-on fangirl mode before I can even comprehend what’s going on. It’s amazing—emotion completely overrides logic when I pick up one of her works.
Btw, volume one of YnA was just released in English less than a week ago (in case you didn’t know). :3
